Dr. Huynh called the meeting to order at 12:02 pm

  • AY 2024-2025 End-of-Year Overview of Student Feedback: Data Triangulation Analysis
    • Sophia presented recurring and isolated themes from three points of student feedback.
    • Dr. Huynh presented on actions underway to address student feedback as well as recommendations to address the student feedback
      • Action Underway: Dr. Huynh presented actions that’s underway to address areas of student feedback
        • Dr. Harrell mentioned a few discovery pathways projects students are working on currently. Including generating Step-Style questions using AI
      • Active Learning Quality:
        • Dr. Kalynych and Dr. Huynh discussed creating a Jacksonville resource on active learning techniques for faculty development
        • Dr. Harrell suggested a consultation service for faculty to receive more tailored feedback
        • Dr. Collins suggested working with the new Assistant Dean of Faculty Development to create these workshops
        • There was committee discussion on creating a checklist or best practices for creating a standardized lecture quality rubric as well as a peer review system
      • Practice Questions:
        • Dr. Huynh shared recommendations for how to enhance practice question implementation in Phase 1 that aligns with NBME-style and Step 1 outline
      • Clerkship Feedback and Grading
        • Dr. Huynh shared recommendations for how to improve feedback and grading in clerkships
        • Dr. Harrell shouted out the analysis done by the Office of Program Evaluation and Student Assessment on evaluator reliability
      • Communication and Logistics
        • Dr. Huynh presented recommendations to improve communication and logistics among clerkships
        • Dr. Harrell and Kathy suggested ideas to improve Canvas cohesion across the clerkship pages.
